This village was established in Hongcheon, Gangwon-do on Sept. 9, 1986, to commemorate the first meeting of Chairman Baik and Billy, David Beattie, who looked after the orphan boy Baik in the midst of Korean War and to help the poor in the neighborhood. Main facilities include church, home for the aged, clinic and home for the disabled.
