This Village, which is the first orphanage set up by foreigner, was established in Cartago, Costa Rica on December 10, 1994 to help orphans mostly caused by unwed mothers. The village has 32 children, and Catholic foundation in Costa Rica and five Catholic sisters operate the orphanage
